Fomm ir-Riħ Collection: Handcrafted Elegance Inspired by Baħrija's Coastal Legacy

“Fomm ir-Riħ” is a secluded beach located in the western side of the Maltese Island between the rural villages of Baħrija and Mġarr. The name is translated to: “The Mouth of the Wind”, as it faces the predominant north-westerly winds.

Our artisan and founder, Marisa, grew up in Baħrija and still lives here. She has always considered this beach as a reflection of our opposing emotions: rage when subject to turbulent weather and serenity during clear skies.

This collection is a:

Remembrance that we cannot have the sun without the rain.

We cannot expect life always to be good, and we must embrace the calm and storm. The natural cycles of Fomm ir-Riħ, with its clear waters during peaceful weather and its tumultuous waves under harsh winds, serve as a potent reminder that both good and bad days are essential for growth and renewal. The rough waves extract nutrients from the rocks, replenishing the ecosystem and sustaining life.

Just as the beach transforms under different conditions, we, too, must recognize and appreciate the balance between nature and life. Embrace the ebb and flow, as calm and storm have their roles in shaping who we are and enriching our journey.

This collection lets you carry a piece of the sea with you, channeling the spirit of a sea goddess. With vibrant colors and an adventurous, summery vibe, these nickel and lead-free pieces let you wear Fomm ir-Riħ's essence.
